Adenosyl-L-methionine disulfate tosylate (SAMe) is a dietary supplement that is used to treat depression and liver disease. It is also a metabolite of the amino acid methionine, which is formed by the enzyme S-adenosylmethionine synthase.

 

S-Adenosyl-L-methionine is simply called SAMe or SAM-e in America, and also aliased as AdoMet or SAM.
